Terms and Conditions
Should the Government action a lock down, all drum lessons will run online. You will just need and computer, tablet or phone & head phones. I may send notation through in advance or display on screen, This time will be spent as an enhanced practice session.
DBS /CRB child protection checks:
Please be aware for the safety of miners all tutors are fully CRB / DBS checked. This certificate can be provided at any time by request.
Tuition and Materials:
i) All bookings must be paid for in advance. Payment can be made by: Bank Transfer, Cash & Cheque. (The tutor will provide these details on request.)
ii) It is the student’s responsibility to attend scheduled lessons. Please ensure you arrive at the time of your scheduled lesson. Lessons are not able to run outside of your allocated time slot.
iii) Sheffield Drum Lessons reserves the right to terminate lessons to any student without providing notice. If Sheffield Drum Lessons terminates lessons, a refund for unused lessons will be given.
iv) The tuition fee does not include the costs for private musical equipment, resources & materials, these can be provided by request with a maximum four week arrival time payment in advance will be required.
v) If an instructor needs to cancel a lesson, the lesson will be made-up within 30 days. Sheffield Drum Lessons reserves the right to provide a substitute instructor where necessary.
vi) Cancellations Policy:
For students paying PER WEEK.
A minimum of 24 hours is required for any lesson cancellation if it is to be rearranged. This lesson can be moved or transferred if the full 24 hours notice is given. Less than 48 hours notice will be charged at 50% fee. Notice must be given in the form of written letter, phone call, text or email, allowing you to retain a copy for your records, this correspondence must be acknowledged by a Sheffield Drum Lessons representative. Where there is a common pattern of cancellations, a deposit or full payment may be required to secure a booking.
Sheffield Drum Lessons has to maintain a cancellation policy like all other businesses.
For students paying PER TERM
Your time slot is reserved for the full duration of the term to ensure continuity and to qualify for the discounted rate. Therefore cancellations or rearrangement of these lessons are not permitted to qualify for the discount. Missed lessons cannot be rearranged and pre-payment will be forfeited in these circumstances.
Regular attendance and practice is essential if progress is going to be made. Your instructor will recommend a practice regimen and the resources for home practice time. It is recommended to practice is at least 30mins-1-hour daily until the student feels self-progression and feels comfortable to move on to further development. There fore it is important student keep absences to a minimum.
Photography and Video:
Any student being filmed or photographed will be made aware prior. The release of any promotional material being produced during lessons will need to be fully approved by the student (if over 18) parent or carer in full writing before being made public.
Release of Liability:
I agree on behalf of myself, my heirs, assign and minor(s), I release and hold harmless Sheffield Drum Lessons, its owners and operators from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, that may be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned while taking music lessons. I understand I am responsible for my child up until lesson start time and immediately after lessons end. I understand that there may be times when the instructor will ask for my help/supervision during a lesson. Furthermore, I understand children under 12 years of age must have an adult/guardian present during music lessons.
By entering into drum lessons with ‘Sheffield Drum Lessons’ you have agreed to these terms and conditions.
